Guest Speaker: Katie Patton Pryor, Executive Director of the Baton Rouge Film Commission
Katie Patton Pryor has served as Executive Director of the Baton Rouge Film Commission since April 2017, playing a pivotal role in expanding the region’s creative economy. With a background in political consulting and film production, Katie is a passionate advocate for the power of storytelling and the film industry’s potential to drive cultural and economic growth.

- EARLY ONLINE REGISTRATION ($40) WILL CLOSE AT NOON ON MONDAY, APRIL 7
- LATE ONLINE REGISTRATION ($45) WILL CLOSE AT NOON ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9.
- WALK-UP REGISTRATION AT THE DOOR ($50) IF SPACE ALLOWS.

After online registration has closed, registration will be at the door only as space allows. Please keep in mind that the only way to guarantee a seat is by registering early. Chamber staff will be focused on preparing for the luncheon and may not be able to respond to last-minute registration requests via email or phone the morning of the luncheon.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER:
Katie Patton Pryor has served as Executive Director of the Baton Rouge Film Commission since April 2017, playing a pivotal role in expanding the region’s creative economy. With a background in political consulting and film production, Katie is a passionate advocate for the power of storytelling and the film industry’s potential to drive cultural and economic growth.
She is a global ambassador for Louisiana's film industry, frequently speaking at international conferences and industry events. At home, she’s shaping the next generation of creatives as the Founding Board President of the Louisiana Academy of Production and as an adjunct professor at Louisiana State University, where her course explores emerging industry trends, the societal impact of storytelling, and the importance of representation in film.
Katie is also the co-founder of Film USA, a national 501(c)(6) trade organization uniting film commissions across the country to promote the U.S. film industry globally and advocate for the establishment of a Federal Film Office.
Her leadership extends to board roles with Film Louisiana, the Baton Rouge Community College Film and New Media Production Advisory Board, and the Baton Rouge Underground Film Festival Advisory Board. She also holds a gubernatorial appointment to the Naval War Memorial Commission.
A longtime champion for women in media, Katie served on the Mayor’s Transition Committee for Women’s Advancement in 2015 and was honored with the Iris Empowered Women Award by Women in Film & Television (WIFT) in 2023. Her impact has been widely recognized with numerous accolades, including the Excellence in Sales & Marketing Award (2021), a spot in the Baton Rouge Business Report’s Forty Under 40 (2022), selection as a Capital Region 500 Influencer, and membership in the 2023–2024 CHANGEMAKERS cohort.
