Follows and demonstrates the values, mission, and culture of CC’s Coffee House; responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality beverage and food preparation, outstanding service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The Barista ensures all products are prepared according to company standards while engaging guests with sincerity, product knowledge, and enthusiasm to create a memorable experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting all guests warmly, engaging with sincerity, and following CC’s steps of service.
• Prepare espresso beverages, brewed coffee, and food items according to company recipes, procedures, and quality standards.
• Provide product knowledge to guests, including coffee varieties, beverages, pastries, and merchandise; recommend and upsell products when appropriate.
• Operate point-of-sale systems accurately, including processing transactions, refunds, discounts, and various forms of payment.
• Maintain speed of service while ensuring order accuracy and quality standards are consistently met.
• Ensure all food safety procedures are followed, including proper handling, storage, and preparation of products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas, including production lines, service stations, dining areas, restrooms, and exterior spaces.
• Stock and restock service areas with food, beverage, and operational supplies to maintain efficiency during shifts.
• Safely operate all café equipment, including espresso machines, ovens, blenders, and other tools required for daily operations.
• Follow all company cash handling procedures, including accurate till counts before and after shifts.
• Monitor equipment functionality (e.g., refrigerators, freezers, heating equipment) and report any issues to management.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to management when appropriate.
• Support team operations by communicating effectively with team members and maintaining a positive, team-oriented environment.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety/security standards, including incident reporting protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in food service, retail, or hospitality preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret basic instructions, safety rules, and operating procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage guests and work effectively within a team.
REQUIREMENTS
• Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds as part of daily store operations.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and moderate noise levels.
• Must follow all food safety, cleanliness, and workplace safety standards.
• Requires continuous standing and movement, with frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying throughout the shift.
• Involves exposure to hot and cold food items and equipment while working in varying temperatures, moderate noise levels, and around moving mechanical parts.
