At GeauxHVAC, our Senior HVAC Technicians are the foundation of our service team. You will be the face of our company, ensuring customers receive exceptional service, expert technical work, and clear communication. You will play a key role in mentoring junior technicians, troubleshooting complex HVAC issues, and helping drive our company’s continued growth.
 
This position is not for individuals who require constant oversight, extensive training, or need to be handheld through jobs. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who can take initiative, manage service calls independently, and consistently deliver high-quality work.
 
As a Senior HVAC Technician, maintaining a professional appearance, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills is essential. Our customers expect top-tier service from technicians who are knowledgeable, well-presented, and take pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities

• Service & Repair – Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems with accuracy and efficiency.
• Installation – Perform high-quality installations of HVAC units, ductwork, and related components.
• Customer Communication – Clearly explain issues, recommend solutions, and provide pricing estimates when needed.
• Mentorship – Train and guide apprentices and junior technicians to enhance team efficiency.
• Efficiency & Revenue Growth – Look for opportunities to provide additional value to customers through system upgrades, maintenance plans (Comfort Club), and energy-efficient solutions.
• Quality Control – Ensure that all work meets or exceeds company and industry standards.
• Safety & Compliance – Adhere to all safety regulations and EPA/NATE certification requirements.
• On-Call Rotation – Be available for occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday service calls as part of a rotating schedule.
 
Key Qualifications

• Experience – Hands-on HVAC experience (residential & light commercial).
• Certifications – EPA Certification required; NATE Certification strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills – Strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Self-Sufficiency – Ability to handle jobs independently without requiring constant supervision.
• Professionalism – Maintain a clean, well-kept appearance, wear appropriate company uniforms, and conduct yourself with integrity at all times.
• Drug Test and Background – Must pass random drug tests and background checks as required by company policy.
• Leadership – Experience training or mentoring apprentices or junior techs.
• Communication – Ability to explain technical issues to customers in a clear and friendly manner.
• Reliability & Work Ethic – Punctual, organized, and committed to customer satisfaction.
• Valid Driver’s License – Must have a clean driving record and be able to operate company vehicles.
• Work Ethic – Willingness to work on-call as needed for after-hours, weekends, and holiday emergencies.
 
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
 
Technicians will be evaluated based on the following performance metrics:
• First-Time Fix Rate % – Completing jobs correctly the first time.
• Average Revenue Per Service Call – Identifying opportunities for system improvements.
• Average Revenue Per Day – Maintaining efficiency and profitability.
• Upsells & Add-On Sales (Comfort Club Memberships) – Educating customers on maintenance plans, long-term savings, and non-common solutions.
• Customer Satisfaction (5-Star Reviews) – Delivering high-quality service that earns positive feedback.
• Billed Hours – How many hours were billed with flat rate system to the customer.
